"ARTMIX is the young people group at Baltic Centre for Contemporary Art. ARTMIX meet regularly to work with other young people, artists and members of staff on exciting events and creative projects. ARTMIX is  completely free open to all creative projects. ARTMIX is completley free and open to all young people who want to explore and examine the world we live in today.

From July-October 2017, ARTMIX worked with BALTIC artist Bex Harvey to explore the issue of equality, using BALTIC's exhibtions as a starting point. The group used film, sound, collage, photomontage and language to create a range of artistic responses."

"What am I here for? is a publication of exploratory language assembled by the members of ARTMIX at BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art. Collaboratively, we have 'extracted' language from BALTIC's vinyl text panels, signs and information leaflets to forge our own stories. This presents an alternative look at the work within BALTIC's Artists' Award 2017 and Adam Pendleton's shot him in the face"
