Arts Council England is the national development agency for the arts in England. As an independent, non-political body working at arm's length from government, we distribute public money from government and the National Lottery to artists and art organisations. Between 2003 and 2006, we are investing £2 billion of public funds in the arts. This is the bedrock support for the arts in England. |
