Basil Bunting: Collected Poems

Basil Bunting: Collected Poems
Library Shelf Location 34.BUNT
Publication Date 1988
Description Even before the appearance of Brigflatts in 1965 established Basil Bunting's reputation as a master of form and melody, he was known and respected by discerning readers of the day. In 1938 Ezra Pound dedicated Guide to Kulcher to Bunting and Zufofsky, 'strugglers in the dessert'. More recently, poets on both sides of the Atlantic, such as Allen Ginsberg and Thom Gunn, have acknowledged him as one of the outstanding poetic presences of the twentieth century, and by the time he died in April 1985 he was generally recognized as a true link in the great tradition of English poetry.
