Publication Date Sep 2005
Description

British Art Show 6 - the most ambitious survey of recent art in the UK - opens at BALTIC on 24 September 2005. The exhibition presents work by 50 artists and artists’ groups who together represent the breadth and vitality of current British practice. Curated by Alex Farquharson and Andrea Schlieker, British Art Show 6 incorporates work across a range of practices from sculpture, painting, film and video to performance, with a number of artists working across several disciplines. The exhibition opens at BALTIC, the only venue to present the entire exhibition under one roof, and then travels to multiple venues across the cities of Manchester, Nottingham and Bristol. British Art Show 6 is a Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition which takes place every five years.
