Young makes work which explores a world increasingly controlled by globalised business interests. Largely inspired by her own experience of working within the corporate sector, she uses a variety of media including video, performance and found tools and processes from the business world. The pieces that comprise 'Business as Usual' subtly examine the collapsing categories between cultural and commercial systems, creating a variety of scenarios in which the artist appears to use her own identity as a form of shorthand to examine our slippage into a world which is increasingly 'becoming-corporate'. |
