Chagall's World of Love

Abstract A love for one's fellow men, cultural openess and religious tolerance: these are grand words and as human beings and as members of society, we must endeavour to live up to them no matter how we define ourselves, our allegiances and our boundaries. Thus it is with great joy that ARKEN presents CHAGALL'S WORLD OF LOVE. The aim of this exhibition is to render Marc Chagall's view of art topical by focusing on the love of the world and openness towards various ways of life and thought which characterize his works. In the light of present day conflicts between communities defined in national, religious, cultural, political or ethnic terms, it is all the more uplifting to listen to Chagall's message.
