Eddie Peake: The Forever Loop

Eddie Peake: The Forever Loop
Library Shelf Location 18.PEAK
Publication Date Oct 2015
Description

This illustrated book accompanies Eddie Peake’s latest installation in The Curve.

Peake’s work invites the viewer to reflect upon the relationships between desire, sexuality and visual pleasure, while drawing on art historical references, classical sculpture and popular culture.

Alongside installation views, related work and an interview with the artist by Alona Pardo, an essay by Omar Kholeif explores the broad set of allusions embedded within Peake’s work, from the classical nude to popular culture and underground music.

This is the second title in a new publication series by the Barbican Art Gallery and Ridinghouse that focuses on the Curve exhibition programme. The first in the series, Roman Signer: Slow Movement, can be found here.
