Description |
For the second year running, ISIS Arts was involved in en-quire, a national action research project that explores the special benefits and challenges for young people of working with contemporary art within a gallery space.
ISIS Arts co-ordinated the North East cluster of organisations, comprised of the University of Newcastle International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies and ISIS Arts.
The main research question explored how artists learn from each other when working with young people. Four moving image artists worked with a group of A/S level students from Blyth Community College. They began the sessions with visits to the Big M at the Woodhorn Museum, BALTIC Centre for Contemporary Art and the Hatton Gallery to view contemporary art to inspire the young people to make their own work. |
