Lavender is not only a color, but also a powerful scent that, like any aroma, can evoke an emotional response. New York-based street art collective Faile has asked artists from twelve different countries to create work based on their associations with lavender and has collected them in their fourth thematic and collaborative book. Artists, designers and photographers including Deanne Cheuk, David Ellis, Shepard Fairy and Stefan Sagmeister have contributed work in a palette of white, black and any shade of purple you can imagine. The book will feature an introduction by zing magazine's Devon Dikeou, a collection of short stories by Griffin Creech and a music CD. Lavender is strictly limited to 999 copies worldwide
