Abstract |
Georges Adeagbo is a collector. For twenty years he collected books, fabrics, pictures and all manner of lucky finds, pieceing them together at his home in Cotonou (Benin) to form large installations. That meant that for almost twenty years people though he was mad. As chance - which we do not believe in - would have it, a French art agent strayed into West Africa, stumbled across Adeagbo and his work, and recognised just what and who he had discovered. And so the artist became known to the world. |
