Artist's book in an edition of 500, 168 pages, with 62 colour and 13 black and white images. The book is one outcome of the Sowdun Project, undertaken between 1999 and 2005, and part-funded by an AHRC grant 'Modelling identity through place' (Award number BSG/AN/5537APN16578 January 2005). The book has been exhibited in the international touring exhibition Arcadia id est: artists' books, nature and the landscape 2005-2007 (Europe, USA, Australia) http://www.bookarts.uwe.ac.uk/arcadia.htm and is in the collection of Tate Modern, Victoria and Albert Museum, the Joan Flasch Artists' Book Collection, John M. Flaxman Library, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, and was selected for consideration for the 2005 Ratcliffe Prize (for innovative publications in ethnography). It was reviewed in Landscape Research by M. Miles (30 2 pp.287-288). Following publication Biggs was invited to speak at: 8th Research Seminar in European Ethnography, Bristol 13th November 2004; International colloquium, University of Ulster (organized by Academy for Irish Cultural Heritages / Northern Ireland Centre for European Co-operation); Plymouth University - 'Unearthing Other Voices - a polytheistic approach to landscape' published in Wells, E (ed.) (2005) Surface: Land/Water and the Visual Arts; University of Plymouth Press, pp. 10-27.
