Description El Centro de Arte Contemporáneo de Málaga, in collaboration with the British Council, presents the first solo exhibition in Spain by British artist Jonathan Monk (Leicester, 1969), curated by Fernando Francés. The exhibition consists of a selection of 30 works, created between 1984 and today, including sculptures, installations, photographs, neon signs, paintings, engravings, drawings, textiles ... The common thread of the exhibition is colours, shapes and words. The idea is to present a kind of collective of the artist’s own work, in which each piece relates to others, offering possible readings, interaction and new possibilities. To accompany the exhibition, this bilingual catalogue Castilian/English has been published featuring all the works on exhibition and with a critical text by the artist Jesús Palomino.
