The publication has been conceived by Laurianne Bixhain in conjunction with her exhibition On the Other End at Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles.
The distant view of a succinct ensemble reveals points of correspondence emerging between details: the Arts & Crafts facade of the offices of a former factory for industrial appliances – integrated since 2000 in one of the complexes of the Multimedia City in Montreal – a floral arrangement on a window sill, a billboard for a spa on a boat moored at the Old Port, a car headlight photographed at night, a wooden fence at the back of a former forge, and a makeshift repair workshop on the banks of the Lachine Canal.
Published alongside her show at Les Rencontres de la Photographie d’Arles (2 July – 23 September 2018). Designed by Müller & Wesse, Stephan Müller. |
