To look at the world in new ways can be tricky. Especially in our everyday life, like when we ride our bikes to school or are waiting for the bus. Art is a great tool. It works as magical glasses and opens up a new world of thoughts, images, emotions and ideas. Suddenly everything changes and looks different when you experience art.
The Japanese artist Misaki Kawai loves to create funny little worlds in her works. She finds materials and ideas from her many long journeys. Misaki mixes everything – plastic toys, stickers, drawings, film, music, artist’s books, sculptures and installations.
