‘There are few artists that can create genuinely beautiful work that also embodies, and foregrounds, their working processes. Perhaps this is because artists would like to appear as if their inspirations arrive readily formed and fully realised as ‘finished’ work. As if the thinking, research and inspiration behind the work are simply aspects to be boxed-up, shelved and hidden from public view. We are fortunate that there are some artists who bring us into their world of creation and allow us to see how they arrived at their end point.
