This free online events series considers the role of archives in artistic practice and institution-making.

Archives are holders of memory, depositories of individual and collective narratives, offering traces of the past that remain mostly unseen in boxes, folders, hard drives and servers. How do artists disrupt and challenge the traditional understanding of archives as sites of classification and power? How do formal and informal archives support the construction of history, with facts, fictions, institutional and personal narratives? Can archives reveal or trouble the structures of an institution?
