Peter Blake, (b. 1932) a key figure in British Pop Art, is one of the most influential and original artists working today. With his design for The Beatles’ Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and other works he has helped create a British Pop aesthetic that defined an era.
Peter Blake is the first book to concentrate on the artist’s paintings from the 1950s to the present, including such iconic works as Self Portrait with Badges (1961), and Have a Nice Day Mr Hockney (1981–83), while also featuring lesser-known works, including his recent The Marcel Duchamp World Series. |
