The Somnambulist is about Worker A who drifts to work at a factory, or is with fakirs and eunuchs in the backstreets of Mumbai. Inspired by Freud's 'das unheimliche', the film is uncomfortably familiar and uncanny and alludes to our state of sleepless monotony. Filmed in Kamathipura and Dongri, infamous for prostitution and gangland warfare, this presents an alternative view of Mumbai.
