Description |
Here in Scotland, the AIDS epidemic is critical, but as yet is far behind the American epidemic in terms of numbers affected, and there has been no cultural response to speak of. The point of this exhibition is not to set it up as an example of cultutal practice which could be imitated here, but to use it as a sounding place for our own assumptions about AIDS, and our expectations about what role artists can play in a social and political crisis. |
