Abstract |
In summer 2003 the Tate mounted its first photgraphic survey exhibition, 'Cruel and Tender/The Real in the Twentieth Century Photograph'. Emma Dexter and Thomas Weski, its curators, stated that the motivations in examining 'the real' in photography were integrally linked to its currency in present practice. |
