Tiravanija conceived of the project as an artistic and cultural tour of the United States by himself and five students from Chiang Mai University in Thailand. as documented through videotapes, photohraphs, souvenirs, and artworkds created along the way, and Internet communications to museum visitors and web browsers, their journey in a motor home from coast to coast visiting diverse artistic and cultural sites presented a unique vision of discovery as the travelers confronted the cultural treasures and deep contradictions of this country. |
