Sam Durant has often been described as an artist's artist. Indeed, his work commands tremendous respect among his Los Angeles peers. Though he has been making important work for well over a decade, he has remained relativelt little-known outside of Los Angeles. Only recently he has begun to garner the kind of critical and curatorial attention he so richly deserves. Durants exhibitions at The Museum of Contemporary Art, Los Angeles, and the Kunstverein fur die Rheinlande und Westfale, Dusseldorf, signal the momentum that is building around his work, and we are honoured to be part of this exciting chapter in his career. |
