The Book of Dark Pages by Nora Fleming -engages in an ironic and mischievous way with a pompous passage of aesthetic ideas between the generations.Text contemplates Line as a formal drawing element yet gives the reader faux insights. The relationship between text and images is random while sounding aphoristic. The form of the book is based on a 19th century reader or instructive picture book. Nora Flemin represents the editor or observer who "sits on the shoulder" of the artist at all times. Foreword by Dr Richard Read Materials: archival paper and archival covers.

NB: This is an ex-display copy from the exhibition 'Outside of a Dog' (2003). The book has a small hole in the bottom left corner and shows signs of use.
