I DON'T MIND, IF YOU FORGET ME was held in Hirosaki, the artist's hometown in the summer of 2002. The exhibition took place in the Yoshi Brick Brewhouse, built in the Taisho era. Mr. Nara used to pass by this old brick brewhouse when he was a child and wondered what it was like inside. The exhibition was realised with the help of 3500 volunteers to help raise money, create a shop and cafe and clean and paint the old abandoned warehouse.
This document consists of pictures taken from June to September 2002, depicting works of the renovation and the exhibition scenes at the site. |
